Henry Jacques: Accessories for the senses

Henry Jacques revives an ancient ritual with Clic-Clac, an innovative accessory designed to house its new collection of solid perfumes

Ever since Henry Cremona set out to create a French haute parfumerie that exemplifies excellence, creativity and absolute refinement, his clientele has been presented with some of the world’s most sophisticated and innovative fragrances and accessories. That tradition continues with the recent release of Clic-Clac, a “fascinating everyday object and the perfect lucky charm” created to house Henry Jacques’ new collection of solid perfumes.

Available in precious avant-garde materials such as titanium, carbon and rose gold, the sleek rectangular case houses all 50 scents from the Les Classiques collection in the form of interchangeable solid perfume capsules. Clic-Clac’s minimalist design – including its satisfying weight and distinctive sound imprint – belies the substantial amount of “invisible” engineering that went into its creation, which spanned four years of development and involved the expertise of Swiss watchmakers to ensure the opening mechanism would remain foolproof for life.

Not only a mark of luxury and a symbol of distinction, Clic-Clac also represents the awakening of a long-neglected perfume ritual. It reintroduces the mark of allure that is applying solid perfume, becoming a companion item that gives its owner an elegant air of poise and nonchalance and that over time will take on the aura of its owner.

In fact, Clic-Clac and the solid perfume composition it houses complete the unprecedented Henry Jacques trilogy, alongside its Essences and Mists. The balm-like form, known since ancient times, is designed with an alcohol-free and almost completely natural base to maintain the integrity of the original Les Classiques scents. Just as each Henry Jacques fragrance forms an indelible memory for the person who wears it, Clic-Clac is intended to collect and treasure those memories, stories and emotions to one day be passed down. It is, according to its creators, nothing less than the “ultimate talisman”.

“The creation of this object quickly transported us and overwhelmed us, surpassing all our expectations,” says Anne-Lise Cremona, daughter of Henry Cremona and CEO of Henry Jacques. “Addictive for us, and fascinating for others, the Clic-Clac responds to the need of an era and a generation – a powerful response to something clearly lacking today.”

Clic-Clac is available now at the Henry Jacques boutique at Elements Mall.
