It’s been a non-stop year for Chanel, and the luxury house just keeps giving. This time, they’re teasing the release of their new house fragrance, and what else could it be called but Gabrielle Chanel? This debut is the first major scent the House has released since 2002. Olivier Polge – Chanel’s current in-house perfumer — describes the new perfume as an ‘abstract floral’, with a recognisable, yet modern and clean scent.

Known for embracing modernisation and trends ahead of its time, Chanel used this moment as an opportunity to not only embrace the new, but also to celebrate their heritage, and what a heritage it is! Chanel ambassador Pharrell helped celebrate Gabrielle Chanel’s debut, acting as DJ for the night at the celebrity-filled event, which also included fellow ambassador and scent-figurehead Kristen Stewart.
