It may not feel like it, but spring is actually right around the corner. How do we know? Because Starbucks has released their new seasonal drinks! We got a chance to go inside Starbucks HQ and take a peek at their most colourful creation, the Butterfly Pea Lemonade Cold Brew. If the thought of lemonade and coffee together gives you pause, we get you. But because it's made with cold brew, which is less acidic and naturally sweater, it actually tastes similar to an Arnold Palmer. This is the first time Starbucks is using butterfly pea, known for its bright blue hue, in one of their concoctions, and the result is mesmerising. The butterfly pea transforms from blue to purple when touched by the lemonade, giving you three distinct layers when finished. Though nowhere near as time consuming for baristas as America's controversial unicorn Frappuccinos, this drink requires precision to assemble. Mix it up or drink it in layers, it's up to you- but don't forget your reusable cup and straw! You get a cheeky discount at the till.
The Starbucks Butterfly Pea Lemonade Cold Brew is available at participating stores in Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan until April 11, 2018 while supplies last.
