Is there anything Korean-American celebrity chef Judy Joo hasn’t conquered yet? Chef Joo has just released her first cookbook, Korean Food Made Simple, adding another achievement to her culinary fame. The cookbook contains 125 simple recipes of Korean dishes, including firm favourites like kimchi, japchae (sweet potato noodles) and bibimbap (beef and vegetable rice bowl), as well as her own creative recipes like Spicy Pork Belly Cheese Steak and Krazy Korean Burgers.
The bond trader turned chef left her job on the trading floor to pursue her passion for food, and worked under acclaimed chef Gordon Ramsey in his restaurant empire. Rising to fame with her appearance on the British edition of Iron Chef, Chef Judy has been making her mark around the globe, sharing her love of Korean food and making it accessible to those at home. In addition to hosting her own show on the Cooking Channel Korean Food Made Simple, she has also opened her own restaurant, Jinjuu, in London, and most recently, Hong Kong.
