Chanel launches Boy De Chanel makeup line for men

Yas, Chanel! For the first time in its 108-year history, Chanel is launching a makeup line specifically for men called Boy De Chanel – a play on the name for their coveted Boy Chanel handbags. Admittedly, they’re not the first to do so with Tom Ford being the most obvious forerunner, offering a selection of skincare, concealers, bronzing gel and gender-neutral lipsticks.

With midnight blue packaging, the Boy de Chanel collection has three products, including a tinted fluid in four colours, a matte moisturising lip balm and eyebrow pencil in four shades. The Le Teint foundation offers soft focus coverage with SPF 25, hydrating and antioxidant kalanchoe extract, hyaluronic acid and a polymer which inhibits seat and sebum so you can stay shine-free for most of the day. We also like that the lip balm, while moisturising and packed with jojoba oil, shea butter and vitamin E, is matte and the Le Style Sourcils eyebrow pencils simply help to fill in any uneven areas with a natural finish.

“By creating BOY DE CHANEL, Chanel reaffirms the ever-changing codes of an unchanging vision: Beauty is not a matter of gender; it is a matter of Style.” the company said.

The long-awaited makeup line will debut in South Korea on September 1, before launching in Hong Kong boutiques in February 2019.
