How devastating – since September, Australia has been experiencing some of the worst fires in history. It has burnt more than 8 million hectares (19.8 million acres) of land across Australia, 25 people have been killed, an estimated 500 million animals have died and countless people have become homeless.

This severe disaster has rallied people across the globe to support Australia, with most of them donating money to a list of charitable organisations, including the Australian Red Cross Disaster Recovery, Salvation Army Disaster Appeal and NSW Rural Fire Service

If you want to shop this week, don’t hesitate to continue showing support for the Australian community by buying from some local Australian brands that have pledged to donate their profits to bushfire relief efforts. Below are nine Australian brands that deserve your appreciation and love.

For months, our home has been burning. Our biggest muse, our beloved playground. Loss of land, loss of homes, loss of life. To see our beautiful home catastrophically destroyed is a pain we never wish to feel again, and we’ll be doing everything we can to support and defend our home yesterday, today and every other day. As a proud Australia brand, we will be holding a public CAMILLA Archive Auction selling rare pieces from past collections on Friday January 10, with 100% of revenue being donated to ongoing fire assistance. Details to follow ❤️ In addition, we will continue to raise funds for both Fire Victims and Fire Emergency Bodies by pledging 10% of all of sales made within the first week of our new collection launching Wednesday. Our hearts are with victims, wildlife and lands – all of whom we will unconditionally extend our love and support. To our men and women who are selflessly defending our home in the face of nature’s fury – you are our heroes. We thank you endlessly. From one heartbroken Australian, I ask that you donate or help on anyway you can. There are many ways, big and small, that you can make a difference. To find more ways you can help, visit https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/news-and-media/general-news/how-you-can-help or https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/about/supporting-cfa#donate-cfa. Every bit counts, and now more than ever we must unite as a community and drive our country back to safety. With love and a heavy heart, Milla xx
