What: Men Of Hope Charity Dinner 2018
When: Thursday, October 25, 2018
Where: Aberdeen Marina Club, Hong Kong
On October 25th at the Aberdeen Marina Club, over 220 guests, sponsors and event partners celebrated the achievements of eight inspirational men from different industries at the 3rd annual Men of Hope (MOH) Fundraiser Dinner, an award ceremony established in 2016 presented by the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation (HKAHF). The honourees were presented their awards by Mrs Chan Li (Chief Executive Friends of Asia HK), Dr. Johnny Jon (Executive Chariman of the Global Group) and Todd Nisbet (President of Crown Residences Sydney). Donations were raised to help the underprivileged in Hong Kong who do not have financial means and immediate access to care by providing them with heart surgery and cardiac catherization. As a special gesture, Crown Residences will give a donation to the HKAHF for each of their One Barangaroo residences sold
Each winner has championed the calls for social justice and have made a tremendous effort in raising awareness of the HKAHF’s Heart Fund. The MOH award recognises individuals from all sectors of the community, including business, non-profits, environmental, community groups and individuals. Each MOH have in some way committed to helping others with their ongoing contribution to the local community, through their charity efforts and in raising awareness of issues affecting the underprivileged today. All pledges and donation proceeds raised on the day have gone towards the HKAHF’s Adventist Heart Fund, which helps support patients undergoing heart surgery.
This year, the honourees are Douglas Young, Carl Wu, Hing Chao, Team Hong Kong, Edward Ho, Trey Lee, Edward Man and Dennis Lo.
