Panther Chan was born and raised in Guangzhou, where she developed a love for music after being exposed to Hong Kong and Taiwanese pop stars at a young age. At the age of 18, she saw an opportunity to pursue her passion when a regional audition was held near her neighbourhood, prompting her to put her design studies on hold and move to Hong Kong to pursue a music career. Chan’s rise to stardom was not immediate. However, her persistence and determination pushed her forward. After signing with Warner Music, she was able to reach a wider audience and gain greater recognition. Chan is known for her bold and forthright on-screen persona, which is reflected in her fashion. Her signature short hair and edgy style make her stand out from other female artists. She is also skilled in crochet and handcrafted a crochet microphone cover which she gave to a fellow singer Hins Cheung during his concert last year.
