Get happy with the Happy Wednesday event at the Happy Valley Racecourse, which draws from music festivals from around the world in a celebration of culture, dance and horse-racing

Happy Valley Racecourse’s famous Happy Wednesday has been running throughout June with an eclectic mix of music and dance from around the world, ranging from Afrobeats to Mykonos Madness. But the party doesn’t stop there. It goes on until July 12 and there are more surprises left in the lineup, check out what’s in store.

June 28 – Disco

Get funky and dance the night of June 28 away. The mirrored ball will be sparkling bright as live music band OnPoint performs the best of 1970’s disco hits. Guests will be inspired to bring out their best Saturday Night Fever moves on a Wednesday.

July 6 – Brit Pop

Since the Beatles, UK bands have churned out some of the most memorable music. On July 6, the best of Brit Pop will be played by the Jordan Road band at the Happy Valley Racecourse. One can expect chart toppers worthy of a sing-along from the likes of the Rolling Stones, Oasis, Blur and Coldplay.

July 12 – Street carnival – Season Finale

Chris Polanco and his band will headline the July 12 edition of Happy Wednesday, which marks the season finale of the summer carnival. There will also be a party at Adrenaline and Sponsor Box co-hosted by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and #legend, with salsa and samba performances to bring the heat up to a sizzling level.

Bites and sips

It’s always a good time when you have some food and drinks. There will be themed snacks available from the Beer Garden’s food trucks, like pork pies for the Brit Pop edition of Happy Wednesday. A range of sweet treats such as popcorn, ice lollies, and smoothies and will keep you sated and happy every Wednesday.

Happy Wednesday Music Festivals will run from now until July 12 at the Happy Valley Racecourse, Hong Kong.
