Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates 50 years of the iconic Alhambra collection

What: Van Cleef & Arpels’ Alhambra collection 50th anniversary

When: September 14

Where: Central Harbourfront

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the iconic Alhambra collection, French maison Van Cleef & Arpels hosted an exclusive dinner party at the scenic Central Harbourfront.

“To be lucky, you have to believe in luck,” Jacques Arpels, Estelle Arpels’ nephew, used to say. Along with many friends that have shown their continuous support throughout the years, the luxury house payed tribute to its enduring symbol of luck and its longstanding values. Alluding to Jaques Arpels’ hobby of collecting four-leaf clovers, this symbol of luck, health, fortune and love has been a part of the company since the 1920s and celebrated from 1968 with the first Alhambra long necklace.

For the star-studded dinner party Van Cleef & Arpels put together a two-storey house with wide windows offering a stunning view of Victoria Harbour. Guests could also immerse themselves in the nostalgic vibes of the 1970s by taking pictures at themed photo booths around the venue.

Guests included Mira Yeh, Helen Ma, Yolanda Choy, Anne Wang Liu, Audrey Puckett Chiu, Barney Cheng, Cara & Jesper Mcilroy, Mikki Yao, Olivia Tsang and Alvin Goh, among many others.

“It is a great honour for me to be part of this momentous annal of Van Cleef & Arpels and to celebrate the icon of luck tonight in Hong Kong as the new President of Asia Pacific. There could not be a better way to start my new chapter at the Maison,” said Nicolas Luchsinger, the newly appointed President of Van Cleef & Arpels, Asia Pacific.
