What: Landmark Mandarin Oriental 10th Anniversary Party
When: December 11, 2015
Where: MO Bar
The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, a hotel that has become something of a Hong Kong institution since it opened 10 years ago, celebrated its anniversary with the soulful sounds of American songstress Judith Hill. The Grammy Award winner performed in front of a VIP crowd that included Cara Grogan McIlroy, Carl Ng, Ankie Beilke, Paula Taylor and chef Richard Ekkebus, of the hotel’s Amber restaurant. Tenth-anniversary celebrations throughout the year involved culinary greats Corey Lee and Ferran Adrià, and exclusive partnerships with fashion houses Burberry and Dior (whose spa treatments are a highlight of the Oriental Spa). The December 11 event took place at the glamorous MO Bar. Hill joined the ranks of John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Annie Lennox and Wyclef Jean – all of whom have performed in MO Bar’s Unplugged series. This year’s line-up is yet to be announced but expect more spectacular performances, and some equally spectacular crowds.
