What: The Hong Kong Tattoo Convention

The 6^th Hong Kong China International Convention brought to the city around 270 acclaimed tattoo artists from all over the world to celebrate art and to showcase the best new trends and techniques.

Freedom Tattoo organised the fair along with the TDL China Tattoo Development League with the hope of expanding the convention in the future as a way to promote cultural and artistic exchanges. The three-day long event also aims at nurturing emerging local and international young talents.

Along with the stands, visitors could also enjoy a daily tattoo competition on the main stage and live music performances.

When we visited the convention at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal we were impressed to see so many international artists and groups coming to Hong Kong to share their passion and contribute to the event’s diversity. Also, we spent most of our time snapping the most eccentric and unique tattoos – and characters – around us.
