For an afternoon tea that’s truly out of this world, look no further than Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong’s latest collaboration with luxury jeweller K.S. Sze & Sons – whose boutique has been located in the hotel ever since its opening 57 years ago.

Their “Journey To Venus” tea set is housed inside a stellar orb modelled on the planet, which has been a long-standing passion of the jeweller’s founder Dr Nien Dak Sze. Meanwhile, the set’s delicate desserts are inspired by the company’s exquisite craftsmanship, with intergalactic items including a black sesame and pistachio “meteor rock”, galaxy opera cake, and chestnut and vanilla macaron – served alongside the MO’s classic scones, clotted cream and rose petal jam combo. All guests also receive a complimentary HK$2,000 voucher for K.S. Sze & Sons, and there are only 20 sets available daily, so get your skates on.
