With her inspiring new song “Rainbow”, young singer-songwriter Victoria Hui is aiming to spread positivity through music during these uncertain times. And to help with that, local charity Cookie Smiles has partnered with Sing A Wish on a fundraising initiative that mixes music with cookies.
Victoria has been writing songs and lyrics since she was five. Her mother, Joey Hui, and Jo Soo-Tang, co-founder of Cookie Smiles, has therefore come up with the idea to showcase Victoria’s music with a collaborative fundraising campaign where the original songs composed by Victoria will be unveiled throughout the year and associated with different cookies or treats offered by Cookies Smiles.
“The COVID-19 pandemic got us thinking on how we can do more with Victoria’s compelling passion in her music and how we can reach out to others during this difficult time”, said Joey Hui. “Whilst we all have to respect social distancing restrictions, I hope Victoria’s music can inspire and cheer up the community.”
“Spreading positivity throughout the community is a core mission of my social enterprise and we are proud to be a part of this uplifting campaign. I hope that by listening to Victoria’s music you can also support us to spread Cookies Smiles,” said Jo Soo-Tang.
Living through unprecedented times, it’s also a time when we need to share as much positive energy as we can through music and cookies.
