​The annual Canes Film Festival celebrated its 70th anniversary in May as the worlds most glamorous illuminated the French Riviera. Spanish film director and screenwriter Pedro Almodovar was President of the Jury and Italian actress Monica Bellucci hosted the opening and closing ceremonies. The coveted Palme d’Or prize for best film was awarded to Swedish director Ruben Ostend for The Square, the closing film of the festival.
