Sotheby’s Hong Kong has linked up with AllRightsReserved for an upcoming Contemporary Showcase online auction series beginning on Tuesday, 9 June 2020.
The auction will feature limited-edition collectibles and one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork, with the proceeds benefitting Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ “Share Love & Fight the Epidemic” donation campaign for COVID-19 relief.
“We are very excited to join Sotheby’s for the first time and present these iconic collectibles to the world… Many of these works represent a precious, shared memory for us since our start-up, and it is extra meaningful to be able to donate our proceeds from the sale for a good cause in the local community.”
SK Lam, Creative Director of AllRightsReserved
Highlights include a one-of-its-kind sculpture of Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman’s yellow rubber duck, which was exclusively displayed in the public art exhibition of “Rubber Duck Project: HK Tour” in 2013 when its colossal counterpart floated in Hong Kong’s famed Victoria Harbour; alongside limited-edition collectibles and original artwork by KAWS, VERDY, Yu Nagaba and more.
For those looking to bid on items, the online auction will be open for bidding on June 9 at 10am HKT until June 16 at 11am HKT.
