#obsessed: Top picks from Gucci, Rolex, Dior and more

This month, we’re #obsessed with the top collections from Gucci, Oribe, H Moser & Cie, Dior, Macallan and Rolex

Gucci – The hills are alive

Leave it to the House of Gucci to redefine mountain chic. Gucci Après-Ski encompasses skiwear-inspired coordinated sets, updated iterations of signature handbag lines including the Gucci Horsebit 1955, Gucci Diana and GG Marmont, lug-soled boots inspired by cold-weather footwear, and ski mask silhouettes from Gucci Eyewear among other styles. The line-up also introduces a special preview of a forthcoming chapter of adidas x Gucci as well as a set of aluminum hard-sided trolleys, created in collaboration with the Italian luxury luggage maker FPM Milano.

Oribe – Mane attraction

New year, new haircare! Oribe, the luxury brand co-founded by celebrity hairstylist Oribe Canales, is celebrating the Year of the Rabbit with two new sets in eye-catching red and gold packaging designed by award-winning illustrator Spiros Halaris. The Signature Set offers full sizes of the Oribe Signature Shampoo & Conditioner and a travel-size Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil, while the Gold Lust Travel Set features convenient, portable sizes of the brand’s iconic Gold Lust Repair and Restore Shampoo & Conditioner – each perfect for gifting to yourself or others.

H Moser & Cie – Watch his space

Marking a significant milestone in the family-owned Swiss integrated watch manufacturer’s history, H Moser & Cie has opened its first-ever boutique on Pedder Street in Central. The company, which dates back to 1828 and is renowned for its meticulous craftsmanship as well as its minimalist and elegant design approach, celebrated the spacious and refined showroom’s grand opening last month by presenting the Endeavour Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon Aqua Blue in Hong Kong for the first time. Moser lovers can expect more mesmerising collections to come.

Dior – Striking a cord

Largely inspired by the look of black Ivy League students of the 1950s and ’60s and the insouciant style of jazz musicians from the same period, with a nod to the civil rights movement, Dior Tears is where American homespun style meets French high craft. The menswear capsule collection, featuring archetypal American garments such as varsity jackets and chinos combined with tailored suiting and elegant leather accessories, is a dialogue between New York and Paris, via New Orleans, and between Dior Men’s Kim Jones and Denim Tears’ founder and creator Tremaine Emory.

Macallan – Singular malt

Designed to offer guests an immersive journey through the brand’s heritage and commitment to excellence, The Macallan Experience has officially launched at the Arts Pavilion, West Kowloon. The rotating series of artistic exhibitions and new product introductions, which runs until January 29, explores the origin and vision of the renowned single malt whisky through experiences such as a virtual tour of the legendary oak forest where The Macallan sources its casks, showcases of key collections, and a screening of the real-life story of former managing director Janet Harbinson.

Rolex – Off to the races

Hailed as the dawn of a new era for endurance racing, this month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona will see the pioneering Le Mans Daytona hybrid (LMDh) category make its competitive debut as part of the new Grand Touring Prototype class. For the first time in endurance racing history, a transatlantic agreement will enable the LMDh cars to compete in championships across the globe. This includes the 24 Hours of Le Mans – the world’s oldest and most iconic endurance contest – for which Rolex has been the Official Timepiece since 2001, and which marks its 100th anniversary this year.
