Burberry streamed the February 2017 collection live from their London Fashion Week show. If you missed it, see all the details in our video.
Inspired by the designs of British artist Henry Moore, the collection features vivid prints with a focus on sculpture and silhouette. Moore is known for his abstract sculptures, drawings and maquettes, many of which will be exhibited during, and after, the show as an ode to the artist’s “enormous contribution” to contemporary art, according to Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative and chief executive officer.
The new collection debuted at Soho's Makers House, an lofty, multi-level space. Formerly a bookstore, it added an extra element of academic promise to the atmosphere.
This will be Burberry’s second ‘Straight to Consumer’ collection, meaning pieces will be available for purchase immediately following the show. Anna Calvi and members of the Heritage Orchestra & Choir performed throughout the event, making it a worthwhile reason for Hong Kong viewers to stay up until the early hours to watch.
