A Nordic and design-inspired afternoon tea affair

W Hong Kong is switching things up with a Nordic-inspired festive afternoon tea from now until January 1, 2019.  In collaboration with BoConcept, Swedish-born Culinary Director Chef Robert Nilsson has created 12 sweet and savoury canapés, including open house-made rye bread sandwiches topped with Gravlax salmon, Skagen shrimp salad and Wagyu roast beef, smoked reindeer with chicken liver and pork rilettes and lingonberry jelly. For sweets, there’s a selection of traditional Nordic pastries such as cardamom buns filled with almond paste and topped with whipped cream and a traditional Swedish layer cake with blueberries.

The Woobar x BoConcept “Together We Hygge” afternoon tea is priced at HK$458 for two on weekdays from 2:30pm to 6pm and HK$588 for two on weekends and public holidays from 2pm to 6pm with two glasses of Chandon sparkling wine.

Mikimoto 125thanniversary “Ocean Treasure” afternoon tea at InterContinental Hong Kong

Sophisticated bites inspired by the ocean's treasures

Famous for their exquisite pearls, Mikimoto is celebrating their 125thanniversary with a magical afternoon tea set at the InterContinental Hong Kong. This culinary adventure will show you all the treasures of the sea with delicacies such as eel and Japanese udon with teriyaki sauce, sake abalone and ginger with crispy sago and seared scallop and seaweed cream in a squid ink bun. Think Pink afternoon tea at The Langham, Hong Kong

Round up your girl squad and do your part for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation

Indulge yourself with afternoon tea for a cause with The Langham’s Think Pink affair, which donates HK$10 for every afternoon tea sold to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. Everything from the champagne (Perrier-Jouët, N.V., Blason Rosé, to be specific) to the sweets and savouries features pink hues. The Pink Ribbon Macaron with jasmine tea and white chocolate ganache is particularly adorable with its pink ribbon motif. The Vienna bread with roasted beetroot and goat cheese and tomato bread with pomegranate cream cheese and apple wood smoked salmon deliver punchy flavours to balance out the richness of Palm Court’s signature plain and raisin scones served with clotted cream, strawberry jam and rose preserve.

Fornasetti-Inspired Afternoon Tea at Café Gray Deluxe, Hong Kong
