There are people who collect classic Christian Dior frames, paying hundreds of times the original sticker price. They tend to go for wide wire frames with shaded lenses (think Dior during the Poison days). Easily the most difficult of which to find are the original aviators, like the ones Yves Saint Laurent wore at the tail end of his Dior days. It’s no surprise that Maria Grazia saw this demand, and is bringing those classic frames back into the mainstream with the Diorlia collection.
This new collection is dark and oversized, and with just a hint of 70s bent. They scream cool, and they’re making us all want aviators again. They’re available at Christian Dior stores now.
