Highlights from Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2019 Show

What: Louis Vuitton Cruise 19

When: May28, 2018

Where: Saint-Paul de Vence, France

Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2019 collection debuted in the scenic Marguerite and Aimé Maeght Foundation, where the spirit of the influential family and their art utopia lives on and have inspired the brand’s creations. Most garments in the collection are a means of expression that reflect the quirkiness of Aimé Maeght and merge unconventional styles of the past and present century.

During the event, French artist Woodkid gave a musical performance in the Giacometti Courtyard. He also composed the music for the show, during which Jennifer Connelly also read extracts from the autobiographical Grace: A Memoir by Grace Codington.

For the new line, the fashion house has collaborated with famed writer, illustrator and fashion editor Coddington to create an exclusive capsule collection of accessories, which reinterpret her imaginary menagerie. “My collaboration with Nicolas and his team at Louis Vuitton has been so much fun. I hope it will be a dream come true for Pumpkin, Blanket and Nicolas’ dog – it certainly is for me. It started with our love for animals, it’s where Nicolas and I really connect beyond fashion,” said Coddington.
