What: The HUB Crazy Rich Asians charity ball

With more than 246,000 children under the age of 18 living below the poverty line in Hong Kong, The HUB was set up to provide a children’s support centre in Sham Shui Po, one of the city’s poorest districts. Here they provide underprivileged children, some of whom have never seen grass or stepped foot on Hong Kong Island, educational support, a place to play and make friends, family counselling and extra-curricular activities, including excursions to different parts of Hong Kong that they otherwise would be unable to afford to experience. 

Every year, they host a charity ball at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong to raise awareness and support for what they do. With another potential centre in the pipeline, this year’s annual ball was themed after Crazy Rich Asians and welcomed the likes of Henry Golding (the leading actor who plays Nick Young in the movie) and his wife Liv Lo, TVB star Aimee Chan and more.
