Working with Condé Nast men’s magazine British GQ, Gucci has launched a five part film series titled “The Performers” that began running on GQ and Gucci’s digital channels since February 3.
The first two episodes have been launched, featuring Bobby Gillespie, the frontman for Primal Scream, and Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura, who was last year awarded World’s Best Chef.
The profiled men are asked to choose a location that inspires them, and in the film, they are transported to these destinations along with Gucci’s president and CEO Marco Bizarre and GQ’s editor-in-chief Dylan Jones.
Act I shows Gillespie travelling to Tangier, Morocco to retrace the steps of his personal hero, French writer and poet Jean Genet. Bottura, featured in Act II, travels through Milan and Modena in Italy, and talks about his affinity for jazz and Thelonius Monk and how he inspired him to break rules in the kitchen.
The next three Acts of The Performers will be revealed in April.
