Jun 02, 2016

Luxury safari camp and lodge operator Elewana has added a new property to their all-African portfolio, the Loisaba Tented Camp on the Loisaba Conservancy in Kenya. The conservancy spans three ecosystems across 56,000 acres, and offers a variety of landscapes and incredible game viewing, including an opportunity to see rare northern species such as the reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra.

Built on the site of the former Loisaba Lodge and atop a 180-metre escarpment, every room in Loisaba Tented Camp is endowed with panoramic views across the Laikipia Plains to Mount Kenya. The property comprises of six en suite tents, three family-configured combinations, and the Private Residence, housing three en suite tents, a private bar, a dining area and its own infinity pool. An onsite restaurant and bar gives guests a chance to absorb the captivating landscape while sampling locally sourced ingredients from within a 50km radius of the camp. Elewana also manages the famous Loisaba Star Beds, built upon elevated platforms and allowing the adventurous to sleep under the stars and experience the conservancy’s wildlife up-close.

The Loisaba Tented Camp was opened by Elewana with support from The Nature Conservancy, an organisation dedicated to protecting nature reserves through community involvement and sustainable tourism. Elewana is no stranger to the safari industry, with experience through its fourteen other camp and lodges across East Africa, promising guests a wealth of knowledge in planning activities and ensuring an unforgettable stay on the African plains. elewanacollection.com
