These are Coachella 2018’s hottest trends

Coachella kicks off festival style every year

It’s weekend two at Coachella this weekend, but we’ve rounded up all the hottest trends that were spotted last weekend. With headliners such as Beyoncé, Eminem and The Weeknd, throngs of fans from all over the world landed in California’s Indio for the huge festival. Of course, the fashion was on point as well, because aside from the music, isn’t festival style what it’s all about? Of course, you’ll still spot the flower crown here and there, but thankfully, we’re past that. Nowadays, you’ll see a lot more braids rather than crowns, fanny packs versus cross-bodies, and baggy bottoms alongside the must-have denim cutoffs.

We have our eyes set on the hottest trends, so even if you’re not in Indio for weekend two… at least you’ll have some summer style inspo. Or even better, if you’re still figuring out what to wear for weekend two, here’s what all the weekend one goers rocked!

Glitter Bomb

What’s a festival look without glitter? The best thing about a weekend away is that it’s socially acceptable (and in fact, probably expected) that you go all out with your look. And since you’re going to be outside all day, making a mess isn’t even a consideration.

Lace it Up

Festivals are the one place where it’s socially acceptable to be in a lace bra… and not much else. While festival-goers paired the lacy item with high-waisted shorts and the like, it’s definitely the one time of year you can literally just rock a piece of lingerie in public.

Space Buns

Spaces buns made its biggest boom last festival season, seriously taking off (pun intended). Well, they’re definitely not going anywhere, because space buns were a hair staple at Coachella. Whether you wear all your hair up or half, amp it up with a bit of glitter!

Hawaiian Shirts

Here’s a style for the guys too. Hawaiian shirts are popular because they’re cool, comfortable, and super eye-catching. Girls can rock it with a bra underneath and tied up to show off your midriff. Nothing screams festival like printed palm trees!

Fringe Benefits

It gets pretty cool at night at the Empire Polo Club, so you have to make sure you have a cover up for when it’s chilly. Many opted for fringey cover ups… while they might not be the best for colder weather, it’s perfect for keeping cool during the day and a bit warmer at night – all while still stylish.

Crochet

This isn’t your grandma’s crochet. Everything knitted took a big step up in style with cropped tops, bell sleeves and of course, floral patterns!
