Children’s Medical Foundation Benefit Concert 2018

When: September 11, 2018
What:
Children’s Medical Foundation Benefit Concert 2018
Where:
City Hall, Hong Kong

Thanks to Hong Kong based non-profit, the Children’s Medical Foundation, 30 neonatal intensive care units across 12 provinces in China are able to provide treatment to over 43,800 babies each year — that’s five babies every hour, many of whom need live-saving treatment. This wouldn’t be possible without support from the community. To raise funds and awareness for their cause, the Children’s Medical Foundation teamed up with Premier Performances, the Ulysses Quartet and the Chamber Music Society of the Yale Club of Hong Kong to host a benefit concert at Hong Kong’s City Hall.

A little really can go along way: HK$6,000 can train one doctor and one nurse in lifesaving CPR skills, HK$10,000 pays for intensive care for critically-ill newborns living in poverty, HK$20,000 can purchase a Neonatal Monitor for treatment on 1,000 newborns each year in intensive care and HK$50,000 can train a rural county hospital in emergency neonatal care for a population of over 100,000.
