Calvin Klein’s Fall Collection

A number of Europeans have descended upon New York, and perhaps it is this new cultural environment that has encouraged a study on what it is to be American.

At Calvin Klein, Raf Simons and the creative director Pieter Mulier who was his right hand at Dior, made sure the all the necessary elements were present: cowboy boots, boxy leather jackets with shearling colours, knee-length, vintage-inspired floral prints. The only thing missing to complete the formula were saddle shoes.

Helmet Lang was an American designer who created a New York-cool aesthetic that won him die hard fans. There was definitely a study of his essence here. Wool marching band trousers, leather jackets cut like traditional denim outerwear were obvious winners. The ‘Texas Tuxedo’ interpreted as cool and chic, was both a winning look and a nod to the brand’s most iconic element: denim in the raw.The super fashion set will be sporting the glenn plaid coats with the removable plastic covering. Clothes to weather the rain have been given a chic life line. The detachable element of the plastic cover practically means two coats in one— another reason to justify the deep need.
