The name Zaha Hadid is one that even non-architecture fans would know of. The Iraqi-born British architect was the first woman to win the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 2004, and since then has been credited for paving the way for women in architecture. This year, she became the first woman to be awarded the Royal Gold medal by the Royal Institute of British Architects, whose previous recipients include Le Corbusier, Frank Gehry, and I.M. Pei.

Budding architects can do no better than visit the Leila Heller Gallery in Dubai, which is currently showcasing a wide span of Hadid’s product designs starting from the early 80s in an exhibition simply titled “Zaha Hadid”.

Over 30 bodies of design work are displayed, documenting Hadid’s transition from the 1990s ‘early semi-tectonic’ stages into her ‘later semi-liquid’ phase.
